Darts
The goal of darts is to score points by throwing darts at a circular target (the dartboard) divided into numbered sections. Players aim to reach a specific score (commonly 501 or 301 in classic game modes) and finish the game by landing their final dart in a double or bullseye. It's a game of skill, precision, and strategy, designed for fun competition or friendly challenges!
The recommended scenario for a group of players who want to play Darts in GOODPOINT is as follows:
- The group asks the waiter for a Dart games reservation
- The waiter escorts the group to their Darts zone and unlocks the game
- The waiter briefly explains the basic rules of playing darts and introduces the game control panel. The players are taught how to register a new player and how to take selfies of themselves.
- After the introduction, the players enter their data through the game control panel. Then they select a game and start playing.
- After the game time has expired, the group returns the darts to the waiter.
General Darts rules
- Players have 3 throws in each round.
- After the third throw, the player removes his darts from the board and hands them over to the next player.
- In most of the games, the doubles and triples count as two or three times the sector score. The value of the sector is written around the circumference of the dartboard.
- The concentric areas beginning from the center of the dartboard are the following:
- Double values (colors: red and green alternating)
- Single values (colors: black and cream alternating)
- Triple values (colors: red and green alternating)
- Single values (colors: black and cream alternating)
- Bull (color: green)
- Bullseye (color: red)
The GOODPOINT darts automatic scoring system utilizes cameras and a computer vision application to detect darts on the dartboard. The algorithm identifies up to three throws and subsequently tracks the removal of the darts.
